EVERYONE LOOK — Ninja Theory is back with Hellblade and this isn't just another spin-off! They called it Senua because they wanted something fresh: "a full-on action-adventure" that keeps the quality of the first two while adding what people actually want from big AAA games. Dom Matthews even said II had an intention we delivered on — but THIS is a different intention, building on all that goodness and expanding into new genres! It's not another numbered entry; it's something fundamentally newer at its core, which is exactly why you need to pay attention because the scope has exploded in a way I didn't expect.
2027 release on Xbox Series X|S, PC (Xbox app AND Steam), and PS5 — yep, Game Pass gets it too! The gameplay features expanded combat and more puzzles with room to roam even through its linear story structure, and the map is literally about TWICE as big as Hellblade II's. You get gorgeous visuals - there's a trailer showing Senua getting drenched in liquid gold during battle that looks incredible! Set in purgatory after both previous games (so no God of War Laufey comparisons allowed!), it shows they started development back in September 2024 to polish the scale. I'm already hyped — this is going to be huge!
