Fellow Kong fans — the "Kong Bananza Returns" event is officially coming next week and it is SO much fun! Nintendo has announced that this new DLC challenge kicks off on June 9th (just after 1am PDT / 2am MDT / 3am CDT / 4am EDT in North America, or 9am BST over here in the UK) and will stay active until June 16th. As the name suggests, it's heavily themed around Donkey Kong Country Returns — which means Tiki Tong and Tiki Goon statues are up for grabs once you meet those special Emerald Rush quotas (if you've been collecting like me, this adds an amazing new layer to your DK Island collection). 🏆
And here's the thing that makes it really exciting: Void Kong returns with a brand-new set of perk limitations on his Canyon Layer challenges. I just love how these events keep evolving and getting more creative — each one feels fresh even though they all share the same core gameplay loop. Oh, and don't forget you'll need to have grabbed Donkey Kong Bananza's DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC pack if you haven't already!
