You guys โ I opened this RPS link expecting one of those deep-dive essays and instead my screen was just an absolute wall of CSS! Every variable, every style rule for their layout rendered inline instead of the actual writing about deckbuilder strategy. I'm still trying to figure out how that even happened on a site as polished as theirs. It goes from "I can't wait to read this" to "this is just raw styling code" in about half a second, and it's honestly hilarious.
The irony isn't lost on me either โ the article was supposed to be about deckbuilders removing strategic fear by front-loading decisions during building, yet here I am presented with zero strategy at all, only layout rules for an 'ad_container'. RPS is known for longform and thoughtful game criticism so this total page collapse feels especially surreal. Whatever happened in transit turned a great essay into a style sheet.
