You guys have to see this because it’s actually kind of cool how this all fits together! Novation finally dropped the 88-key midi controller to round out their MK4 series, and honestly that means they now have a Launchkey for every possible setup — from just writing on your laptop with the Compact model right up to full studio rigs. The whole range is refreshed: Octave Scale mode (which I can't get enough of) makes keybeds feel infinite without touching octave buttons, and the M and M32 versions even got new touchscreen displays and Touch Strip panels built-in so you have a knob for every function instead of diving through menus endlessly. The 88 is the big finale because it means anyone at any stage can start with whatever size they need today and upgrade as their setup grows later — which is exactly what Novation wants to do, by making entry gear that doesn't outgrow you immediately. It also has all the same MIDI deep-customization options we love and a built-in arpeggiator/sequencer so it’s basically a mini DAW on its own. So yeah, Novation just made one of the most complete ranges in music tech right now by filling this last hole — if you're building your studio around Launchkey gear, that 88 completes the family tree perfectly and I can already tell people are going to love having something for every size.
