Okay, so Final Fantasy Tactics is a masterpiece on its own and this port is already fantastic but Square Enix isn't stopping — they just bumped it to version 1.5.1! They shipped a massive update last month that was huge for the Switch version because it added Zodiac Compatibility, stability improvements, new language support, plus all that good stuff across both original Switch hardware and Nintendo Switch 2 users can enjoy. That wasn't even the whole story though since they keep polishing until it shines which is what you want from a beloved classic like this one being brought up to modern standards. I'm genuinely pumped about how dedicated they are because these kinds of updates make my older titles feel fresh again and it shows real care for their community.
The new 1.5.1 patch itself focuses on making New Game+ more discoverable so buried items pop back up when you start a brand-new save after the update, which is huge for replayability! They also rolled out specific text fixes in Traditional Chinese and squashed several other minor bugs that were hanging around from earlier versions. If you want to check your version number go straight to either the game's version selection screen or just look at the enhanced title screen — they make it easy enough for anyone to confirm their build is current.
