Dude you have to see the new Total War: Warhammer 40,000 gameplay trailer because it's a total hardware flex and my eyes are already bleeding for my GPU. They show massive battle armies clashing across absolutely enormous maps with thousands of units rendered in real-time โ€” that alone is insane from a technical standpoint. The environmental destruction is the real standout though: watch them torch Gothic buildings, collapse stone structures into the street during sieges, and see debris actually stay where it was hit instead of popping back to its original position like older titles. They nailed volumetric lighting through smoke plumes and dynamic shadows cast by gothic architecture across every city you visit, which makes everything look moody and immersive in that grimdark way 40k does best. Each unit model has extremely high-res textures โ€” the armor plates reflect light realistically and the weathering on imperial soldiers actually looks weathered rather than painted on. The whole trailer is basically a live demo of Unreal Engine's latest rendering capabilities pushed to its limit for Warhammer content, which I guess is Creative Assembly's way of showing off after those recent tech updates the engine received. You can practically hear my old card crying in this corner just watching it โ€” but seriously, if you have a high-end rig playing at 4K the visual fidelity is genuinely stunning and worth every frame it costs.
