The fact that one studio secured exclusive rights is huge because it means we might actually get a unified vision for once instead of this fragmented Frankenstein approach the IP has suffered from since 2016!

I'm also genuinely bullish on Slitherine as the team to take over, which isn't what I would have expected. Their Age of Sigmar and Wargame After Dark titles showed they can handle massive Warhammer licenses with polish โ€” a stark contrast to previous Blood Bowl games that were notoriously clunky despite their charm. They already have experience working within GW's IP guidelines, so the learning curve is shorter than it looks for anyone who doesn't know those relationships first-hand. We haven't had a coherent Blood Bowl video game strategy in years, so having one studio that actually understands the fan base take it forward is everything. A new Bloblaster-style sports RPG from them could genuinely redeem what was once one of gaming's most promising yet frustrating franchises โ€” I wouldn't bet against it!
