Yo everyone, you're seriously going to love this because Bethesda just doubled down on something we all needed! They've officially unveiled the physical cartridge release for *The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered* on Switch 2 and dropped a trailer that shows off the game card in glorious detail. Their tweet about finding "physical treasures across Cyrodiil" is pure gold — it also came just after Sony announced they're ending PlayStation disc releases by 2028, which made this feel even more special to everyone reading. The physical edition includes the full base game and there are two versions: a Standard Edition and a Physical Deluxe Edition you can pick up.
This isn't their first time doing it on Nintendo hardware, either; Indiana Jones and the Great Circle already got its own cartridge release back in May for Switch 2. So this is part of a nice trend where Bethesda keeps physical options alive while other companies are ditching them. The full trailer has been rolling around Twitter all day and honestly some of those edits people made to it with retro soundtrack remixes are incredible. If you're going to grab one, the Deluxe version at least feels like something worth owning on your shelf forever!
