You guys need to read this because Coffee Talk Tokyo just got way more interesting than my old post made it out to be, and I'm excited you all can actually play the preview right now! Itโs not just some trailer or build; Suda51 released a free installable version on Steam that packs over four gigabytes of asset โ the latest Re-Mix even throws in 3D models. The visual style is pure 90s anime Cyberpunk, like something you'd pull off an old Death Park Theatre poster, and it captures the 'Cool Japan' aesthetic better than almost anything I've seen lately. If you haven't grabbed the free preview yet, go do it โ it beats watching a trailer any day of the week.
The collaboration details are where this really gets wild: Hirotaka Kuriyama from Jujutsu Kaisen actually voices characters, and there are live J-pop tracks recorded with Tryptiqm that come on an actual physical CD inside the box! All three songs have authentic English lyrics because Japan produced them for a global release rather than just having Japanese versions with subs tacked on. The full game will be Coffee Talk Tokyo: Re-Mix, which adds voice acting for every single character and more tracks from Tryptiqm to build out what's already there. For the deeper dive, check out the dev blog at koibaru.co.jp/p=3748 or follow @cft_official on Twitter โ they keep updating with new content.
