Oh wow โ *Fallout 76: Infestations Update* is officially live as of today! After years upon years of updates to this already-great sandbox RPG, Bethesda has somehow managed to breathe fresh life into the gameplay loop by introducing these little pests that actually deal real damage when they attack you or your C.A.M.P. โ not just passively existing out there like background noise in other Fallout worlds. What really caught my eye is how thoughtfully designed the weakness system is: each pest type has a different vulnerability, so players will need to keep their arsenals varied rather than rolling one optimized build and never looking back. Fire weapons work brilliantly against them but electricity? Nope โ completely ineffective for some reason that feels just right when you think about it. On top of all this, the creatures gradually grow stronger as they accumulate within a single C.A.M.P., which means if you leave your base unchecked long enough, those initially minor annoyances can snowball into actual problems worth solving! The beauty of this update is how seamlessly these new mechanics integrate with Fallout 76's existing framework: it doesn't reinvent the game so much as add another delicious layer on top of all that already-excellent content โ from companion quests to Nuke storylines and faction conflicts. I'm genuinely excited about where Bethesda goes next, especially if community feedback stays this positive through the coming weeks!
