Hey Evil Source crew! Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 04 are finally hitting servers on Thursday, June 4th, and this isn't just another patch day—this is a genuinely massive content wave across both games that'll keep you locked in for months (and I mean *months*!). The multiplayer side alone stacks up like crazy: new map Liminal drops first as a small-sized Guild procedure where the center of the map actively shifts around you, forcing players to adapt constantly. Primetime joins alongside it as this brilliant 6v6 map inspired by Japanese game show obstacle courses—imagine *Wipeout* meets Call of Duty—and for pure nostalgia, Vertigo returns fully remastered from its original Black Ops 2 days (I personally remember grinding on that vertical masterpiece back in the day). Mid-season brings Zenith to a luxurious cliffside estate complete with waterfall vistas and pristine lighting. Launch also makes a triumphant return—freshly upgraded—for longtime fans who want those BO1 vibes, plus all modes arriving throughout: Black Ops Classic for throwback gameplay (finally!), Blueprint Gun Game debuting in Bo7 proper, 6v6 Gunfight returning, Team Blueprint Sharpshooter where weapons rotate every few seconds, and the fan-pleasing Knife Fight melee-only variant that I've been begging Activision to bring back. Ranked Play carries on as well with Resurgence Ranked Play rolling out later this season for competitive grinders, while The Guild operation launches first (Operation Wall Breaker featuring Command Killer Glitch Fracture) before Operation King Killer takes over mid-season in Zombies.
Zombies is shaping up as a real powerhouse—Nuked Survival gives us that hellish cul-de-sac to survive through endless undead waves, Totenreich introduces Directed Mode where you get extra help tackling the Main Quest starting out of Eidskallen Landing's Starting Room (so much more accessible for less experienced players), Rogue Run reinvents Ashes of the Damned with a roguelite twist—you survive each wave and choose your reward before teleporting to another arena entirely, keeping momentum constant. Mid-season brings Kowakujō as an incredible round-based map set in feudal Japanese castle territory near a live volcano (I absolutely love that concept). Warzone is equally loaded: Fortune's Keep gets a full refresh with three updated micro POIs and improved movement for better exploration depth. A brand new 52v52 Clash mode lands on Verdansk at launch alongside Squad Gun Game arriving mid-season where your whole squad cycles through every available weapon in the game (so much fun to coordinate), Rebirth Island receives its own spring refresh after winter's snow melts away, Shadowlink Contracts unlock that mobile Black Market exclusive to Fortune's Keep Refresh zone, Advanced Self Revive lets you get back up quickly once during a fight—such an underrated quality-of-life feature—and Champion's Quest difficulty challenge arrives later in season for completionists. The Battle Pass is stacked with fresh Weapon Blueprints and Operator Skins through regular progress, while BlackCell purchases grant the unique Catalyst New Operator plus Mastercraft Weapon Blueprint featuring additional unlockable variants earned via challenging in-game objectives. All six new weapons arrive too: KRS-7.62 Marksman Rifle (Battle Pass), CBRS-3 SMG (also Battle Pass at launch). Event and weekly challenge rewards bring Grimhawk Special, VX Compact Assault Rifle, Executioner's Duet Melee weapon, and the AN-94 Assault Rifle—plenty of options for every play style to experiment with across all platforms including PS5, PlayStation 4, and PC! Time to start building loadouts now because June is going to be absolutely wild.
