You guys — Endless Ragnarok is officially dropping July 9 on PS4 and PS5 after a wild hands-on preview! For newcomers who haven't played Relink yet, they just released a playable demo on PlayStation Store now to get you up to speed before the expansion hits. The roster gets six new legends: Gallanza, Maglielle, Beatrix, Eustace, Fraux, and Fediel — plus massive boss fights against Beelzebub and The World! And don't sleep on the Summon system; it’s not just extra damage, you actually get invincibility frames while a summon is active which turns clutch defensive plays into offense. You can build out passive trait synergies from your collection later in the game too — I already know this part will be addictive to theorycraft!
But wait, there's more: Chaos difficulty was added and it punishes aggressively with EX Burst attacks that light up purple right before they hit, so you have a literal split-second window to time a dodge. They also added Primal Burst where Skybound Arts combo chains trigger huge visual finishers through summons — pure spectacle! I tested out the Furycane summon which has rapid slashes and tracking tornado combos against Managarmr that buries the field in blizzard giving enemies Glaciate status for instant crowd control — two totally different tactics with one system. Plus Beatrix's new kit forces you to cycle self-buffs mid-fight, making her a high-skill ceiling fighter who can adapt to any role!
Finally, if you hate multiplayer matchmaking there's the Conflux: a dedicated solo endgame mode where you run through zones and pick one of three random perks that stay for your current run — it’s basically Roguelite loop added onto an Action RPG. They designed it specifically so people can grind rare materials without queuing up, with different objectives every run which keeps replay value high even after the main campaign ends! Seriously, this is a massive content drop — I'll be camping that demo all week to get my build straight before July 9.
