Yo team — I wanted to make my old Rayman Legends post much more complete because there's so much good news here! Retold isn't replacing the original, which Ubisoft confirmed directly in response to a fan on social media when they said those "original versions would be staying put." So if you haven't played Definitive Edition yet — the 2017 Switch release that Nintendo Life rated nine out of ten stars — don't worry because both digital versions will remain accessible. Rayman Legends Retold is still launching October 1, 2026 for Switch 2 and other platforms with fresh 3D sequences, new levels, and much more content. They're even reviving Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag this July with the same pledge that its original version will stay available too!
