Yo team โ forget that one-line post I made earlier; here's the *full* picture because Splatoon just dropped a massive patch and it completely changes how my favorite meta plays out! Ver. 11.2.0 is live on both Switch and the new Switch 2, and they packed so much into it. The team actually sat down to re-evaluate ver. 11.0's improvements over time and decided several weapons needed a softer touch โ which means Blaster players are going through it today! They reduced blaster explosion collision radii with opponents (intended to pull back some of the buff), tweaked N-ZAP '85 so ink falls more naturally, gave L3 Nozzlenose blast speed +5%, cut jump scatter on Luna/Replica and Clash Neo by 13%, slashed Brella's ink cost by 8% while slightly increasing fire delays across several weapons (Rapid Pro, etc.). The Trizooka damage-to-Big-Bubbler buff (+30%), Zipcaster's reduced zip cost (-33%), Booyah Bomb tank protection against splatanas with armor up 30%, and the extended Spattercolor range are all massive QoL wins. Plus โ they tweaked points for dozens of weapons, shortened no-contest periods after rapid disconnections across four modes, and overhauled X Battle team division so you won't run into two Blasters on one side anymore. Best part: a standalone direct for Splatoon Raiders hits June 30th and the Joy-Con 2 set drops July 23rd โ I need my new controller already!
