Yo team โ PlayStation just dropped their latest Share of the Week and it's genuinely inspiring what people are creating with Photo Mode. They asked everyone to submit pairs โ reflections, opposites, whatever โ under #PSshare and #PSBlog, and the community absolutely delivered. Crimsonashtree shared two totally different versions of Conor from Detroit: Become Human (the duality theme), Cal Kestis undercover in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Mur4dQ's Mio and Zoe escaping a city in Split Fiction, Rorottino showing Sam mid-climax battle in Death Stranding, Parmindernangla's Miles and Peter together in Marvelโs Spider-Man 2, and Call_me_xavii sharing the emotional Atsu-and-her-mother moment from Ghost of Yลtei. Every one of these frames tells a story on its own โ that Death Stranding battle still is insane and I can't stop looking at it!
But here's what makes me love this even more: game photography IS fan art, plain and simple. We spend dozens of hours in these worlds building emotional connections with characters like Atsu or Sam, and when we capture those moments through Photo Mode, we aren't just taking screenshots โ we're documenting our own experiences as players. It's a unique form of creativity that only gaming can offer. The community has been doing this for years on Twitter/Instagram under #PSshare/#PSBlog and you should definitely follow both tags to see more great entries from the PlayStation creative community, plus get inspired by all these games themselves with their own photo modes!
Don't just stare at my enthusiasm โ contribute yourself because next week is already set up. The next theme is Saros, focusing on the new car mode update, and you can showcase your best moments exploring Carcosa from Sony's latest RPG (it sounds great). Get your entries in by 11:59 PM PT on June 17 under #PSshare/#PSBlog for a chance to be featured. If you want more PlayStation news to fill your day after scrolling through these screenshots, check out the full GTA VI PS5 optimization article, Star Wars Galactic Racer's hands-on report, or the trailer for Jackbox Party Pack 12 โ there's something good here every few minutes if you keep digging!
