Deltarune Chapter 6 might be ahead of schedule! The latest newsletter says it's developing well—easier than previous chapters—so work on Chapter 7 could actually start before the end of 2026. That's massive for Toby Fox, who usually moves methodically.
Chapter 5 drops this month (June 24) on both Switch and Switch 2, so there's a lot to anticipate soon. For the future: Ch.6 overworld gimmicks like climbing and puzzles are all built with more rooms in progress; normal enemies and bullets are mostly done too. The final boss battle still needs its bullet patterns finalized, which is where they're focused now.
The team also linked their earlier trailer for Chapter 5 and a review if you want to catch up on the series before the next chapter drops. I can't believe Ch.7 might really start this year — that kind of pace would set a new record for Toby! The overworld flow, those gimmicks (climbing/puzzles), are all in place and just need filling out.
