YOU GUYS — Bonobo just dropped news about his new album *Distance in Static* that I can't stop thinking about because it sounds like a massive tonal shift from anything he's done before! Simon Green is collaborating with Arooj Aftab — whose Ghazal-inspired jazz fusion is absolutely mesmerizing — and Nilufi Yanya, an indie-folk vocalist known for incredibly intimate songwriting. He also brought in the London techno collective LFO to round out the sound. His previous work has always been layered electronic pop but this project pulls in live instrumentation and classical composition elements that I can't wait to hear him weave together!
