YOU GUYS — the June 2026 Nintendo Direct just dropped some huge news for Pokémon Pokopia that I had to share! The free update arriving in August 2026 is going full underwater and it changes everything about what you can build. The new Dive move lets players reach submerged areas where they can plant grass, construct structures, and even create their own towns on the ocean floor. It's a massive expansion of the sandbox world that makes me want to jump in immediately this August!
But that's just the start — there's also an Expansion Pass available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop today that bundles three major releases. Part 1, Bubbly Basin, launches with the free update in August and adds new underwater furniture, outfits, and Pokémon friends to call your own. Then come the sequels: Part 2 is slated for late 2026 and Part 3 isn't even due until 2027! So there's a steady stream of content coming through at least two years out — this is what we want from a live-service social sim.
