YOU GUYS — the June 2026 Nintendo Direct was honestly a wild ride because while we got some massive news, it felt like Nintendo is playing it incredibly safe for what this console deserves! They announced an Ocarina of Time remake coming "later this year" with no specific date yet, which means another dedicated trailer is probably on the way soon. The Star Fox remake launches later this month in a desperate attempt to revive their dormant sci-fi brand, and there's even a new Fire Emblem and a new Final Fantasy both confirmed for 2026! Splatoon Raiders is getting its first single-player chapter dropping in July with a dedicated Direct on June 30th revealing weapon details and new tools. Square Enix teased Kingdom Hearts IV — the first all-new entry since KH III in 2019 — launching cross-gen on Switch 2, PS5, Xbox, and PC; plus they're bundling the original three titles for Switch 2 this October with a KH3 demo available now! All of this sits alongside Echoes of Wisdom from last year and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment launched in November.
