Oh my god, you guys โ€” the June Nintendo Direct just dropped and it's packed! First off, Ocarina of Time is getting a remake for the Switch 2 in December 2026. That alone is massive, but wait: Kingdom Hearts 4 is coming to PC through Steam AND Epic Games Store, plus they announced a dedicated KingomHeartmobile app with card battles and gacha mechanics! I can't get over that combo โ€” real KH on PC and an mobile spin-off at the same time. Then there's The Duskbloods landing on Switch 2 in December 2026 as well, which is going to be wild for anyone waiting on their console upgrade.

The Pokemon news is even bigger because they changed how Battle Passes work โ€” Season 15 drops July and season 17 prelims by Jan 2027, AND the Battle Pass is now free for every player not just Champions! That's a huge win for casual players who get locked out of rewards. Also Fire Emblem Engage added an online mode with ranked battles starting late July plus "BATTLE BORN" โ€” team-based tactical PvP playable on Switch right now as DLC, which I know will be infuriatingly addictive. Super Mario Bros Wonder is getting a multiplayer co-op mini-game added to the existing roster and Smash Ultimate's Champion Island set Final Destination X as stage 50 with an extra Star Climber for each player so EVERYONE can play every map in modes!

I genuinely cannot believe how many big things came out of one showcase. The Ocarina remake alone is going to be playable on the new hardware, Kingdom Hearts spreading across PC and mobile, Pokemon Battle Pass finally open to everyone, FE multiplayer, AND Mario co-op โ€” Nintendo really delivered this time! Seriously, if you were waiting for a reason to pick up Switch 2 games or dive back into Smash, June 2026 is your month. I'll keep an eye out and link the trailer compilation when it drops.
