YO YOU GUYS — Castlevania finally has a release date! Konami confirmed Belmont's Curse drops October 15th during today's Xbox Showcase, which is awesome news even if the timing feels weird for Nintendo fans. You probably caught that their logo was missing from the lineup at the end of the trailer and immediately started spiraling about whether it made the cut — don't panic! Konami actually clarified that a Switch version IS coming in 2067, we just can't get a firm date or pre-order info yet. They said those details will be announced "at a later time," so there is definitely still something cooking for Nintendo owners despite the showcase omission.

The real question is whether this means an extra trailer was even possible before next week's rumored Direct, which would be strange since Xbox already beat them to it. The more likely story is that the Switch build needs more baking time and a firm date simply wasn't set yet by writing — every dev knows these cross-platform delays are real. Still, I have to wonder why there isn't a native Switch 2 version ready for launch since we've been talking about it all year! Either way, the game is coming, so keep your garlic handy and stay tuned because we will hunt down the Nintendo announcement the second it drops.
